There is nothing more delightful than purchasing new home furniture. You may have put up with that old furniture for years. The children have jumped on it, pets have slept on it or scratched it, it may even have teeth marks from when your toddlers were teething on it. Cheap furniture often does look quite attractive. The finishes that are used often make it look really expensive. But underneath those finishes resides a slab of weak old chipboard that is quite likely to chip, crack or break the first time a load is placed on it.

Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packages, the UK based furniture specialist has stepped in to help dozens of British property owners who have been left in the lurch following the collapse of Tala Design Village.

Numerous buyers, some of whom had paid thousands of Euros for furniture were left shocked and annoyed by the announcement of the firm collapsing. One buyer who wished to remain anonymous commented “they had our money four months, they must have known they could not supply the goods, it makes me sick”.

Cyprus Luxury Furniture were approached by a number of disappointed buyers and asked if they could help out. Mark Sykes, Operations Director of Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs commented “It’s a sad state of affairs, when you’re hearing stories like this from real people as opposed to reading about them in the papers. Unfortunately it’s not the first time this year. We’re doing what we can to help people who’ve been left in the lurch and out of pocket”. “We were contacted by Solutions Overseas who have been left badly exposed following the demise of Tala Design Village, by committing to large volume orders we’ve been able to put a very competitive rescue package together”.

Mark went on to comment ” I don’t know what happened with Tala. We’ve been very careful to keep our overheads low by not having expensive retail overheads and by dealing direct with manufacturers we can keep our prices competitive.
We never ask for full payment in advance, only a 50% deposit and most of our customers opt to pay using credit cards, meaning that if there is as problem they have a good degree of protection.
Most customers orders will be fulfilled within a few weeks unless they have requested special order furniture. It’s always sad to see a business fail but it’s even more sad when people have trusted a business and have paid a lot of money and received nothing as it makes things harder for the rest of us”.
